First time playing a rogue on Dragon Age 2 and decided to go Aggressive!Hawke (which I’ve never done before).
Bethany is cracking me up. She’s so kind, and generous, and polite, but she’s perfectly fine with me working for smugglers, threatening innocent bystanders, and punching people out — things that has Carver raking up the +Rival points.
I keep doing quests, expecting her to be upset but then she comes back at the people I’m threatening with just as much venom. Their character differences are astounding. It’s not just, “I like my sibling vs. I dislike my sibling”. Both are well developed and have a different set of morals, of standards they want.
Carver wants, above all else, to do what is right. He’s brash and fowl tempered, but he hates breaking the law.
Bethany understands her world is gray. She wants to do good for people, but understands the constraint of some laws and that sometimes you have to choose the lesser of two evils. In spite of this, she is the graceful young woman her mother raised her to be.
You think because you were poked a few times with an Agiel that you know anything about me?
